DIY wedding flowers really seem to be a hot topic all the time. Being a florist, I see wedding flowers can get pricy!! There is so many ways to not break the budget but still have great wedding florals for your big day. A few DIY tips I have for you is talk to local flower growers about buying buckets of flowers. I have a few here in the lakes region of New Hampshire that I use for weddings often but they are always at flower markets or farmers markets on weekends. If you message them in advance they will put together buckets for you. For my little sisters wedding last fall, we used two buckets of assorted color daliahs. The flowers were perfect for a fall wedding, lots of oranges and deep reds, purples, and yellows. Daliahs are a great flower that comes in so many different shapes and sizes, you don't need to add many of them to a bud vase to get a beautiful look.

The next place I wouold look to get flowers is trader joes. If you go in either the week before you need them or the monday of the week you need them, they will put in the flower order the number of flowers you want and are looking for. This saves them from not having the right colors or enough of the flowers that you are looking for. These also can make great flowers for bud vases. You can also order any filler flowers and greenery you will need. The picture below is a mix of trader joe flowers and locally grown flowers. For a very low cost you can either purcahse the bud vases new or used online, search at goodwill stores or other second hand stores, search Facebook Marketplace for someone that is selling used ones or local florist sometimes have them for rent! If you are in the new england area i have several styles, and different colors avaliable for rent.
