Spring Wedding Flowers: Fresh Blooms & Romantic Ideas for Your Big Day

Spring is one of the most romantic times of year to say I do. The air feels new again, the sun is softer, and the world seems to bloom right alongside your love story. For couples tying the knot between March and June, there’s no shortage of beautiful seasonal flowers to bring your wedding vision to life — from delicate garden roses to whimsical tulips and fragrant lilacs.

Why Choose Spring Flowers

Spring florals are known for their softness, color variety, and availability. Whether your wedding aesthetic leans toward timeless elegance or boho romance, spring offers blooms that fit every palette. Choosing in-season flowers also keeps your arrangements fresh and more affordable — a win for both beauty and budget.

Popular Spring Wedding Flowers

1. Peonies

A classic spring favorite, peonies symbolize prosperity and romance. Their full, ruffled petals create lush, dreamy bouquets — perfect for brides who love a garden-inspired look. Pair them with ranunculus or roses for texture. Peonies are dreamy! By themselves or in a arrangement with several other types, peonies are stunning. They are the show stopper for sure.

2. Ranunculus

With layers of delicate petals, ranunculus flowers bring a sophisticated, whimsical touch. They come in soft blushes, whites, peaches, and deep tones for contrast in centerpieces or boutonnières. These might be one of my favorite flowers to work with for weddings. They are so beautiful and have such a great shape. They can be stubborn and next to be taken care of before but ad a wow factor to centerpieces and bouquets.

3. Tulips

These are one of my absolute favorite flowers. Nothing says “spring” like tulips. Available in countless colors, they can look effortlessly elegant or modern depending on the arrangement. French tulips add a graceful, elongated shape that feels high-end yet natural. I in recent years found a variation called the tulip peony and she is gorgeous with several layers or petals just like a rose. She brings a lot of dimension to arrangements! But also looks good in a bundle in a basket!

4. Sweet Peas

These fragrant, fluttery blooms bring old-fashioned charm and a gentle fragrance. They’re perfect for romantic bridal bouquets or tucked into small bud vases on reception tables.

5. Lilacs

For couples who love a fresh, garden scent, lilacs are unforgettable. Their clusters of tiny blossoms look stunning in loose, organic arrangements — especially in shades of lavender, white, or dusty mauve.

6. Daffodils & Narcissus

For couples embracing cheerful, sunny vibes, daffodils are a joyful addition. Their bright yellows and whites bring life to spring weddings, especially for garden parties or outdoor ceremonies. These can be planted in the fall time so they are coming up in the spring for your early spring wedding! We have had these growing at my house since I was about 5 years old. They always are the sweetest little flower.

Color Palettes to Inspire

Spring color stories often include pastels like blush, ivory, peach, and lavender — but don’t be afraid to add pops of coral, yellow, or dusty blue. Pairing soft neutrals with garden greens keeps your look natural and timeless.

Styling Tips

  • Mix fresh blooms with textured greenery like eucalyptus or ferns.

  • Add taper candles and vintage glassware for an elegant tablescape.

  • Use bud vases or compotes for centerpieces that feel airy and romantic.

  • For outdoor weddings, consider flower-lined aisles or floral arches that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

Final Thoughts

Spring weddings are all about renewal and beauty — and nothing captures that better than flowers in full bloom. Whether your dream wedding takes place in a garden, lakeside, or barn setting, incorporating seasonal spring flowers will make your day feel vibrant, timeless, and full of life.
